Inter-Faith Studies (RIIFS)

Established in 1994 in Amman, Jordan, under the patronage of
HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies (RIIFS) provides a venue in the Arab world for the interdisciplinary study and rational discussion of religion and religious issues, with particular reference to Christianity in Arab and Islamic society.
More recently, RIIFS has broadened its focus to include all issues pertaining to religious, cultural and civilizational diversity, regionally and globally.

The Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue (PCID) and the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies (RIIFS) have jointly organized a Colloquium entitled, “Human and Religious Values Shared by Christians and Muslims for a Common Education.” This Colloquium is taking place at the Vatican, in Rome, on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 May 2011. The Colloquium will be attended by distinguished Christian and Muslim scholars to discuss and debate the notions of human and religious educational values from both the Christian and Muslim perspectives. The participants will also discuss shared human and religious values towards a common action in education.

برعاية صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير الحسن بن طلال المعظم  نظمت كلية الشريعة في الجامعة الأردنية بالتعاون مع المعهد الملكي للدراسات الدينية،  ندوةً بعنوان "ندوة الوئام بين أتباع الديانات" وذلك يوم الثلاثاء 22 / 2 / 2011 م،  في  مدرج محمد علي بدير بمبنى إدارة الجامعة .

Muqābasāt Hadāriya

RIIFS has started publishing Muqābasāt Hadāriya, a biannual academic journal that features essays and articles in Arabic, as well as in English and other European languages. The journal focuses on religious, cultural and civilizational issues, and highlights common human and ethical values that contribute to strengthening cooperation and mutual understanding among the members of diverse religions and cultures.
