HE Prof Kamel S. Abu Jaber

Background

Post-doctoral research in Oriental Studies, Princeton University, USA (1962-1963)

Doctorate degree in Political Science , Syracuse University, USA (1965)

Teaching and Research Experience:

Professor of Political Science (1971-1979, 1980-1985)
Dean of Faculty of Economics and Commerce (1972-1979)
Director of the Strategic Studies Center at the University of Jordan
Associate Professor of Political Science at Smith College, USA (1967-1969)
Visiting Professor at the Carter Center of Emory University, (Atlanta, USA) (1989).

Other Positons held:

Director of the Royal Institute for Inter-Faith Studies (RIIFS) (Present)
President of the Higher Council for Information (2001-2002)
President of the Jordan Institute of Diplomacy (1997-2001)
Senator in the Jordan Upper House of Parliament (1993-1997
Minister of Foreign Affairs for Jordan (1991-1993)
Minister of Economy 1973

HE Prof. Abu Jaber has written numerous books and articles on Jordan, Israel, Syria, Iraq, Palestine and the Middle East and led the Jordanian-Palestinian delegation to the Madrid Peace Conference in 1991.
